District Lead Volunteer

I am the  area manager for Central Norfolk District Scouts. My role requires me to support all of the Group Lead Volunteers (GLV’s). The GLV’s then in turn support the Leaders. I am also a member of the District Trustee who manage the finances for the District and provide many events in the year.

My aim is to develop Central Norfolk District into a strong united District with all of the Groups supporting the development of all the other Groups. Working together allows us to grow and provide better experiences for the young people and develop their Skills for Life.

District Support Team Lead

The District Support Team Lead role is to ensure that the District has the tools and resources to help Scouts run smoothly

Kate also oversees the campsites and supports the Campsite Team Lead for Wells and Garvestone

District Programme Team Lead

The District Programme Team Lead role, helps every section in the District run a safe, enjoyable and quality programme. To help
do this, they bring Section Team volunteers together with activity experts. Ashley also oversees the District Top Awards and has a team to help deliver programme to the different sections in the District

The District Volunteering Development Team Lead Role is to manage a Team that makes sure all volunteers in their District have a positive and enjoyable
volunteering experience. They make it easy for people to join and learn new skills.

District 14- 24 Team Lead

The District 14–24 Team Lead mangers a Team that helps all volunteers in Explorer, Young Leader, and Scout Network Section Teams. They help Section Teams plan and deliver great programmes for young people.

Guy Mallet
District Chair

This role is to ensure that the District Trustee Committee is able to meet the challenge of providing the opportunities and resources that our young people need to get the best out of their scouting. We support our District Lead Volunteer  and other leaders so that their focus is on delivering front line scouting. Our Committee is also responsible for our scouting governance, and adhering to Charities Commission and other regulations. We also offer support to all of the Chairs of our Scout Groups so that they can support their young people as well.

District Treasurer

The Treasurer provides sound financial administration, support and
information to the Trustee Board and District Team in accordance with the Policy,
Organisation and Rules of The Scout Association.
