Wells Scout Activity Centre

This centre is based in the lovely area of Wells-next-the-Sea and has great facilities which are advailable to hire to Scouts and affiliated groups.

We have a large hut and outside camping area, which is positioned close to the Town centre but located away from the residential area so noise and space for youngsters to be themselves is not a problem.

The Activity Centre was built in 1994 and is based on part of the the route of the old Great Eastern Railway line.

The Scout Hut was the result of a lot of hard work by the group and helpers. The hut has a large grass area in front, which can be used for camping and recreation. The Scout hut is quite secluded and well screened, and has vehicular access and good parking. The grass area is approximately 80m x 20m and is cut regularly.

We are situated in area where there are lots of things to do and in an area of natural beauty. Wells has a lovely harbour which is great for sailing, canoeing and swimming. Holkham and Wells has some of the best beaches in the country, and with marshes and pinewoods there are lots of walks and areas for hiking or game play.

Hire the Facilities

The Scout hut consists of a reception area with toilet facilities and shower cubicles.

A large meeting room with access to an adjoining well equipped kitchen area.

The grounds are available for the erection of tents subject to conditions (please contact the Lettings Officer for details). There is a discount for Central District groups
